July 2026: Resource Operating Hours & Out of Service

Highlights

Resource Operating Hours & Out of Service

Every room, chair and piece of equipment can now keep its own schedule — a recurring weekly pattern of operating hours plus one-off custom hours for specific dates — and be marked out of service for maintenance, servicing, cleaning or repairs. Leave a resource without a schedule and it simply follows your business opening hours. While a resource is outside its hours, out of service, or blocked for a time, online booking automatically removes the slots that depend on it (unless another eligible resource is free), so nothing self-service gets booked when the equipment is unavailable.

Show Your Reviews on Your Own Website

Your verified Bella reviews can now live on your own website, not just your booking page. Copy a small snippet from the Online Booking page, paste it into Wix, Squarespace, WordPress or any site builder with a custom-HTML block, and your reviews appear right on your site — overall rating, star breakdown, each review with its verified badge and your responses — styled in your brand colour and updating automatically as new reviews arrive. A quiet "Book an appointment" link brings readers straight back to your booking page.

Client Credit — one reloadable balance per client

Give every client a single running credit balance they can top up and spend over time — no more juggling separate gift-card codes. Staff reload the balance from the client's new Credit tab, reward bigger top-ups with an optional reload bonus, and the available credit applies itself automatically at checkout (capped at the bill, with a toggle to skip). Real money and promotional bonus are tracked separately so your liability report always shows what you genuinely owe. Turn it on under Settings → Client Credit.

Online Booking

  • NewConnect your own Google Analytics to your booking page

Your booking page can now report into your OWN Google Analytics — not just Bella's built-in analytics. Under Settings → Online booking → Appearance, paste your Google Analytics 4 Measurement ID, or a Google Tag Manager container ID to run Google Ads conversion tracking, the Meta Pixel and TikTok from one place — Bella adds the tracking code for you. It sends page views and, when a booking completes, a purchase event carrying the booking's value and your currency, so you can measure real conversions and return on ad spend for your marketing, not just clicks. Cookie consent is handled for you with Google Consent Mode: visitors in the EU, UK and Switzerland are asked before any tracking cookies are set, while everyone else (for example Australia) sees no banner. It's available on every plan, and the notice only ever appears once you've connected your own analytics.

Reviews

  • NewEmbed your reviews on your own websiteClient Reviews

A new reviews widget lets your Bella reviews build trust on your own website, not just your booking page. Grab the snippet from Online Booking → Share & embed (with a live preview before you commit), paste it into any site builder that takes custom HTML — Wix, Squarespace, WordPress and the rest — and your published reviews render on your page: overall rating, star breakdown, verified badges and your responses, in your brand colour. The widget sizes itself to fit on most builders, only ever shows published reviews, renders nothing at all until you have your first review, and includes a quiet "Book an appointment" link back to your booking page.

Resources

  • NewResource operating hoursResources

Give any resource its own operating hours — a recurring weekly pattern (which days, and the start and end times each day), plus one-off custom hours for a specific date. Perfect for a hydrotherapy pool that only opens on weekdays, or a treatment room with different hours to the rest of the business. A resource with no schedule of its own keeps following your business opening hours, so you only configure this where it matters.

  • NewTake a resource out of serviceResources

Mark a room or piece of equipment out of service for a stretch of time — all-day or a partial window — with a reason (maintenance, repair, cleaning, deep clean or other) and an optional note. While a resource is out of service it can't be booked, and online booking hides any slot that needs it. For a shorter one-off closure you can block a resource directly on the scheduler instead, the same way you block out time for a team member.

  • EnhancedAvailability follows the resource, not just capacityResources

Resource-only services — float tanks, saunas, tanning beds, infrared pods — now check the resource's own schedule as well as its capacity when working out availability, so a resource that is closed, out of service, or blocked never gets offered online. Clients still never see resource names or schedules; they simply see the times that are genuinely available.

Scheduling & Booking Policies

  • EnhancedClearer, consistent booking-policy labels

Your booking policies now read the same way everywhere they appear — the onboarding picker, Settings, the change-preview, and each per-service override. Online-booking approval shows as "Require approval" or "Auto-confirm" (instead of a mix of "manual approval", "auto-accept" and the like), the client-permission policies (self-cancel, self-reschedule, waitlist and choose-a-team-member) read as "Allowed" or "Not allowed", and every policy's summary chip now matches the value it describes. Nothing about how your policies behave has changed — only the wording, so it's easier to see at a glance what each setting does. Approval can still be set as your location default or per service.

  • NewRequire approval for one service while others auto-confirm

Requiring approval for online bookings is no longer all-or-nothing. As well as your location-wide default, you can now set approval per service — like every other booking policy — from the service's Booking Policies tab. Send a complex colour correction or a new-client consultation for your approval while quick, low-risk services confirm the moment they're booked. Each service falls back to your location default unless you override it, and payment still works the same way: a booking that takes a deposit or card confirms on payment and never waits for approval.

  • EnhancedAsk waitlist clients to confirm — without chasing everyone else

When you book a client in from the waitlist, the appointment is now created as "pending confirmation" by default — the client gets a link to confirm they still want the slot — while your regular bookings stay confirmed the moment you make them. You choose the status on each booking right in the appointment form (Confirmed, Pending Confirmation, or Pending Approval), so you only ask a client to confirm when it actually helps, rather than turning confirmations on for every appointment.

  • EnhancedTime slot interval moved to Booking Policies

The time slot interval — the spacing between the start times clients can pick when booking online — now sits with your other online-booking policies under Settings → Booking Policies, right next to the schedule-gap controls. Same setting, a more logical home.

  • FixedScheduler availability & late-night appointment fixes

The greyed-out unavailable hours on the scheduler now appear correctly the moment the page loads — no more waiting until you switch days and back. The "outside range" indicator now lists exactly which appointments fall outside your visible hours and shows what expanding the view will do before you confirm it. And appointments that run past midnight — a late service, or a sequential bundle finishing after 12 — now book, reschedule and display reliably right across the scheduler.

Billing & Subscription

  • EnhancedChoose your number of locations — at signup and any time after

The Multi-Location plan is priced per location, and now you decide how many — no more guessing or emailing us. When you subscribe, the plan card lets you pick how many locations you're signing up for (starting from the number you already run) and shows the total before you pay. After that, your billing page shows exactly how many locations you're paying for and the price per location, with a simple + / − control to add or remove one on the spot — prorated on your next invoice. And if you hit your location limit while adding a new branch, we link you straight to the control so there's no dead end.

Team

  • EnhancedNotify your managers about every booking, not just their ownTeam Management

Team members who can already see the whole calendar — owners, managers, front desk — can now be kept in the loop on every appointment, not only the ones assigned to them, across email, SMS, in-app and push. A new "All appointments" option on their notification preferences switches it on — including bookings team members create at the till, not just online ones. It's off by default, so each person opts in only if they want the full stream. Team members without full appointment access still only ever see their own appointments — no one is shown a colleague's bookings they couldn't already see.

Loyalty & Payments

  • EnhancedLoyalty points now earn at checkout, on every saleLoyalty Programme

Loyalty points are awarded the moment a sale is completed — on appointments and walk-in or retail sales alike — and calculated on the net amount your client actually pays after any discounts or reward redemptions. Prepaid packages earn their points up front when purchased, and family bookings split points between members based on each person's own spend. It simply earns everywhere money changes hands, and a discount never earns points on itself.

  • EnhancedSet loyalty earn rates per serviceLoyalty Programme

You can now set the loyalty earn rate on each service, not just one rate for your whole business. Give premium treatments a higher points-per-dollar rate so they earn double, or set a service to zero so it earns no points at all — perfect for gift cards or heavily discounted services. It lives on the service's Booking policies tab, right next to your other per-service settings. Any service you don't touch keeps earning at your business-wide default, so nothing changes unless you want it to. Add-ons earn at their parent service's rate, while products and prepaid packages stay on the business-wide default.

  • EnhancedCard-surcharge rules, handled automaticallyPayments & Deposits

Where the law restricts passing card-processing fees on to clients, Bella now takes care of it for you. Fee pass-through is switched off in the United Kingdom, and — ahead of the Reserve Bank of Australia's ban on card surcharging from 1 October 2026 — Australian businesses see a heads-up in payment settings, and Bella stops passing card fees automatically on the day the ban takes effect. Australian businesses can still pass fees until then, up to their cost of acceptance. Everywhere the practice is permitted, nothing changes.

Client Credit

  • NewOne reloadable credit balance per client

Clients can now keep a single running credit balance on their profile — top it up once and it is there for next time, no juggling separate gift-card codes. Staff reload a balance from the client's new Credit tab, settled by cash, manual card, other, or by charging the client's saved card on file, and every top-up, spend, refund and adjustment is recorded in a full transaction ledger. Turn it on under Settings → Client Credit, where you can set your quick-pick reload amounts (offered as buttons at the till) and an optional minimum and maximum.

  • NewReward bigger top-ups with a reload bonus

Set reload-bonus tiers — "reload 100, get 10 extra" — as a flat amount or a percentage, and the bonus is added automatically when a client tops up over the threshold. Bonus credit is tracked separately from the client's own money throughout, so your liability report always shows the real balance and the promotional balance side by side, and the bonus is spent first at checkout.

  • NewApplied automatically at checkout — no code

A client's available credit applies itself at checkout, capped at the bill, with a simple toggle to skip it for a sale. Whatever the balance doesn't cover is taken on one other method, exactly like a gift card. Refund a credit-paid sale and the balance comes back; or choose "refund to credit balance" to return any sale to the client's balance instead of their card — the money stays with your business.

Memberships

  • NewInstalment plans — pay for a course of services in instalmentsMemberships

Membership plans can now be set up as a fixed-term instalment plan, so a client pays for a defined course of services in affordable instalments every 4 weeks instead of all upfront. Choose a 4, 8 or 12-week term and the plan bills every 4 weeks — the price you set is the per-instalment amount, and the editor shows the term total and breakdown as you type. The included services are granted once for the whole term (usable any time across it, not topped up each instalment), the plan renews automatically each term on the card on file, and the client is committed for the term — they can switch off renewal any time, and the term's remaining instalments simply complete first. Enrol clients at the till or let them join themselves online, where checkout spells out the total, the instalment schedule and the minimum-term commitment before they confirm. Great for spreading the cost of a treatment course while keeping your cash flow predictable.

Reports

  • NewSee your booked income before it lands

A new Future Income report shows the expected income from your upcoming appointments — your booked pipeline — net of any manual and promo-code discounts already applied. Pick a forward window (the next 7, 30 or 90 days, next month, or a custom range) and see your expected net income, gross booked value, discounts, deposits already held and the balance still to collect, plus a trend by week and a breakdown by team member. It counts your Booked and Confirmed appointments, so it's real money on the books rather than a forecast — and because memberships, packages, loyalty and gift cards are only applied at checkout, they're left out here and clearly noted. Your dashboard's "Future Bookings Value" now uses the same net figure, so the two always agree.

Bella AI

  • EnhancedAsk Bella for a chartBella AI

Bella AI can now draw charts right in the chat. Ask "show my revenue trend over the last 30 days" or "compare sales by team member" and Bella replies with a plain-language takeaway and a chart — a line for a trend, bars for a comparison, an area for a running total, or a pie for a share of the whole. It charts only the figures your reports actually contain, hovering any point shows the exact amount in your own currency, and for a single number it simply gives you the figure. See your trends, not just read them.

Sales & Receipts

  • NewSend a client their receipt on demand

Every sale now has a Send receipt button — on the sale detail page and in the Sales list row menu — that emails and texts the client their receipt on demand, on whichever channels you've switched on for receipts. It works for any sale, including a walk-in retail sale with no appointment (previously those could never send a receipt at all), and if the client has no email or phone on file, Bella tells you why it couldn't send. The sale detail page also gains a quick link through to its appointment.

  • EnhancedYour checkout email is now a proper receipt

The email a client gets after checkout now reads as what it is — a receipt. It arrives with the subject "Your receipt from [your business]", is headed Receipt with its own receipt number, and lists the itemised services, payments and total. It is the same document a client might call an invoice, tax invoice or proof of purchase, so it is ready to hand to a health fund or insurer for a rebate. Nothing to set up — every receipt simply looks the part now. A new Receipts & invoices help guide explains how to send, print, save as PDF, or re-send a client their receipt.
