What is treatment plans?
A treatment plan is a living, personalised programme attached to a client — an overview plus phases with timeframes, recommended services and homecare products. In Bella Booking the clinician authors and publishes the plan, the client views it in their online-booking portal and can book a recommended treatment or buy a recommended product, and every follow-up update is logged against the appointment it happened at. Structured plans are a proven retention lever, giving clients a place to refer back instead of a one-off email.
Treatment plans turn one-off appointments into a guided journey. Skin clinics, med spas and aesthetic and wellness practitioners work in programmes — a consultation, a personalised plan, then a sequence of treatments in phases with the right homecare in between. Until now that plan was written into a note, emailed once, and lost the moment the client needed to refer back to it. With Bella Booking, you author a living treatment plan on the client record — an overview, phases with week-based timeframes, recommended services and recommended homecare products — and publish it to the client. They see their live plan in your online-booking portal, book their next treatment straight from it, and buy the products you recommended for home. You revisit and update the plan at every follow-up, and each update is logged and linked to the appointment it happened at, so the plan is a faithful record of the whole journey. Structured, client-visible plans lift return rates and product attach — a client who can always see their next step is a client who books it.

Key capabilities of treatment plans
Living plan on the client record
Each treatment plan lives on the client, alongside their timeline, photos and appointments — not in a note or a sent email. It is written once and then revisited, so it always reflects where the client is up to.
Phases with timeframes
Break the journey into phases — Foundation, Actives, Maintenance — each with a week-based timeframe from the start date, its own notes, and its own recommendations. Phases show as Upcoming, Current or Completed automatically.
Recommend bookable services
Add the services (or a bundle) you want the client to book in each phase, with their live catalogue price and duration. Where a service has pricing tiers, variants or is a bundle, the client sees a clear "from" price — never a stale snapshot.
Recommend homecare products
Add the products the client should use at home, each with a quantity and your usage instructions ("apply nightly"). Names, images and prices come straight from your product catalogue.
Draft, then publish
Every plan starts as a private draft, so you can take your time getting it right. When it is ready, publish it — and only then does the client see it. Publishing also lets them know their plan is ready, with a link straight to it, so it never sits there unnoticed. You always control when a plan becomes client-ready.
The client sees their live plan
Publishing tells the client their plan is ready and links them straight to it. They open it in your online-booking portal — the overview, each phase and its status, and the treatments and products you recommended. No more "it was in an email somewhere", and no more wondering whether they ever saw it.
Book and buy from the plan
The client taps Book on a recommended service to jump straight into your booking flow with it pre-selected, or views a recommended product and adds it to their order. The plan turns "what next?" into a single tap.
Revision log linked to the appointment
Every time you update the plan you add a dated, attributed revision note, linked to the appointment it happened at. The plan doubles as a record of how the journey progressed, appointment by appointment.
Statuses for the whole lifecycle
Track each plan as Draft, Active, Completed or Discontinued. Completed and discontinued plans are kept for history; the client only ever sees an active, published plan.
Multiple plans over time
A client can have more than one plan across their relationship with you — an acne programme followed later by an anti-ageing one. Their portal highlights the most recently updated active plan.
Live, currency-correct pricing
Recommendations reference your catalogue and resolve prices live, so the client always sees current pricing in your business's own currency. If a recommended service or product is later archived, the plan degrades gracefully instead of breaking.
How treatment plans work
Author the plan
Open the client, go to the Treatment Plans tab, and create a plan with a title, an overview, a start date, and phases with timeframes.
Add recommendations
For each phase, recommend the services to book and the homecare products to use, with usage notes. Prices come live from your catalogue.
Publish to the client
When the plan is ready, publish it. Your client is told it is ready and gets a link to it, then sees their live plan in your online-booking portal and can act on it.
The client follows their journey
The client books recommended treatments and buys recommended products straight from the plan — no chasing, no lost emails.
Update at each follow-up
At the next follow-up, open the plan, mark progress, adjust the next phase, add a revision note linked to the appointment, and re-publish — which lets the client know their plan has changed. Ordinary saves stay silent, so you decide what is worth telling them about.

Frequently asked questions
What is a treatment plan?
A treatment plan is a living, personalised programme attached to a client — an overview plus phases with timeframes, recommended services and homecare products. You author and publish it, the client sees it in your online-booking portal and can book a recommended treatment or buy a product, and you revisit and update it at every follow-up.
Which businesses is this for?
Treatment plans suit any business that works in journeys rather than one-off appointments — skin clinics, med spas, and aesthetic and wellness practitioners who sequence treatments in phases and recommend homecare between appointments.
Can the client see a plan while it is still a draft?
No. A plan is only visible to the client after you publish it. Drafts are private to your team, so you can prepare a plan without anything leaking to the client.
Can a client book a recommended treatment from their plan?
Yes. Each recommended service has a Book action that opens your booking flow with that service already selected, so the client can book their next treatment in a couple of taps.
How is pricing shown on a plan?
Prices are pulled live from your service and product catalogues, so they are always current and in your business's currency. Where a service has more than one price — pricing tiers, variants, or a bundle — the client sees a "from" price.
Do I have to rebuild the plan at each follow-up?
No. You open the existing plan, update it, add a revision note, and re-publish. Every revision is dated, attributed, and linked to the appointment it happened at, so the full history is kept.
How is this different from client notes or consent forms?
Notes and forms capture information for your team. A treatment plan is different — it is a structured, forward-looking programme you publish to the client, with bookable treatments and buyable products. It complements your notes, photos and forms rather than replacing them.
