Bella Booking includes a built-in review system where only clients who completed an appointment can leave a review — no fake or incentivised reviews. Reviews appear on your online booking page with a verified badge, showing potential clients that feedback comes from real visits. You can respond to reviews publicly or privately, and AI-powered moderation automatically flags inappropriate content before it goes live.

Key capabilities of client reviews
Verified-appointment reviews only
Only clients who completed an appointment can leave a review. Each review is linked to a specific appointment, so every piece of feedback is genuine and verifiable.
Star ratings and written feedback
Clients rate their experience from 1 to 5 stars and can add optional written feedback (up to 2,000 characters). Rating-only reviews are also supported.
Public and private responses
Respond to reviews publicly (visible on your booking page) or privately (visible only to the client). Address concerns, thank clients, or follow up on feedback.
AI-powered moderation
Every review with text is automatically checked by AI moderation before publishing. Inappropriate content — personal attacks, hate speech, spam, or fake reviews — is flagged for platform review. Honest negative feedback is never blocked.
Automatic review requests
After checkout, the system can automatically send a review request to the client via SMS and/or email. Timing is configurable in your automated message settings. Neutral wording with no incentives to comply with review platform guidelines.
Reviews on your booking page
Published reviews appear on your online booking page with average rating, total count, and individual reviews. Clients see a "Verified appointment" badge on organic reviews.
Client edit and delete
Clients can edit their review within 30 days of submission or delete it at any time. Edited reviews are re-checked by AI moderation before republishing.
Review summary and analytics
View your average rating, total review count, and rating distribution at a glance. Track review trends over time from your dashboard.
How client reviews work
Client completes an appointment
After checkout, the client becomes eligible to leave a review. Only completed appointments qualify — no reviews for cancelled or no-show appointments.
Review request sent automatically
A review request is sent via SMS and/or email after a configurable delay (default: 2 hours after checkout). You can also send review requests manually from the appointment actions menu.
Client submits their review
The client clicks the link, rates their experience (1–5 stars), and optionally adds written feedback. AI moderation checks the text before publishing.
Review published or flagged
Clean reviews are published immediately on your booking page. Flagged reviews are held for platform review — honest negative feedback is never blocked.
You respond
View reviews in your dashboard and respond publicly or privately. Public responses appear on your booking page alongside the review.

Are reviews available on the Starter plan?
No. Client reviews are available on the Professional plan only.
Can anyone leave a review?
No. Only clients who completed an appointment at your salon can leave a review. Each review is linked to a specific appointment, ensuring all feedback is from verified visits.
Can I delete or hide negative reviews?
No. Businesses cannot delete or hide reviews. This ensures review integrity and builds trust with potential clients. Only the platform can hide reviews that violate content guidelines (hate speech, spam, personal attacks, etc.).
How does AI moderation work?
When a client submits a review with text, it is automatically analysed by AI moderation. The system checks for personal attacks, hate speech, spam, profanity, fake reviews, and other policy violations. Clean reviews are published immediately. Flagged reviews are held for platform review. Honest negative feedback — even strong criticism — is never blocked.
Can I respond to reviews?
Yes. You can respond publicly (visible on your booking page) or privately (visible only to the client). Responses can be added, edited, or removed at any time by team members with the reviews:respond permission.
