Define resources with capacity

Create resources for rooms, chairs, beds, wash basins, laser machines, or any equipment. Set capacity to control how many concurrent appointments can use each resource — unlimited by default, or a specific number for shared spaces.

Require resource toggle

Explicitly control whether a service needs a resource to be booked. When enabled, online booking hides time slots where no eligible resource has remaining capacity. When off, resources are optional and can be assigned manually from the dashboard.

Automatic assignment for online bookings

When clients book online, resources are assigned automatically behind the scenes. The system picks the first available eligible resource by priority order — no resource selection is shown to customers.

Capacity-aware availability

The scheduler shows real-time capacity status: available, partially booked (e.g., "2/3 booked"), or full. Staff can still override from the dashboard when needed.

Assign to services

Link resources to services that need them. A service can have multiple eligible resources — when one is full, the system automatically uses the next available one.

Scheduler resource view

Switch the scheduler to resource view to see each room, chair, or piece of equipment as its own column — just like team member columns. Toggle individual resources on and off to focus on specific spaces. Appointments are displayed under the resource they are assigned to.

Automatic re-assignment on reschedule

When an appointment is rescheduled, the system automatically re-checks resource availability and assigns the best available resource for the new time slot.

How resource management works

Create resources with capacity

Go to settings and add your rooms, chairs, or equipment. Set capacity for shared resources (e.g., capacity 2 for two wash basins).

Link to services and require

Assign resources to services and toggle "Require resource" for services that need them. A facial needs Treatment Room 1, a colour service needs a wash basin.

Book as normal

The scheduler checks resource capacity alongside team member availability. Online bookings auto-assign resources — customers just pick a time slot.

Frequently asked questions

What counts as a resource?

Anything your services need beyond a team member — treatment rooms, chairs, wash basins, laser machines, tanning beds, or any shared equipment.

What is resource capacity?

Capacity controls how many appointments can use a resource at the same time. A private room has capacity 1. A wash station with 3 basins has capacity 3. Resources default to unlimited capacity.

Does the scheduler check resource availability automatically?

Yes. The scheduler shows capacity-aware status — available, partially booked (e.g., "2/3 booked"), or full. In online booking, time slots are hidden when no eligible resource has remaining capacity.

Can a service have multiple eligible resources?

Yes. You can assign multiple eligible resources to a service (e.g., Treatment Room 1 or Treatment Room 2). For online bookings, the system automatically assigns the first available one by priority order.

Do clients see resources when booking online?
