What is the Bella API and MCP server?
Bella Booking offers a REST API and a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for your booking data. Website-booking API keys (catalogue, availability, create/reschedule/cancel appointments) are self-serve under Settings → Integrations. Keys cannot reach sales, reports or payments. MCP connections for AI assistants are enabled per account. Access is always scoped to your business.
Bella gives your business programmatic access to its booking data, and a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server so AI tools can work with that data in natural language. For the common case (a booking form on your own website that reads your services, checks availability, and creates appointments) you create, edit and revoke API keys yourself in Settings → Integrations. Nobody at Bella needs to be involved. Those keys stay scoped to website-booking permissions (catalogue, availability, clients, appointments), so they cannot reach sales, reports, payments, team management or settings. MCP connections for assistants like Claude and ChatGPT are set up per account after a short conversation, so every integration stays scoped to your business.

A native MCP server (managed)
The engine behind Bella AI. Need richer data access than the website-booking REST surface? We can enable an MCP connection for your account so tools like Claude and ChatGPT query appointments, clients, sales and reports in plain language. It is not a wider self-serve REST key, and not a one-click public connector.

Does Bella have an API?
Yes. Bella offers a REST API for your booking data. For website booking (catalogue, availability, create/reschedule/cancel appointments) you create API keys yourself in Settings → Integrations. Those keys cannot reach sales, reports or payments. For richer data access via AI assistants, we enable a managed MCP connection per account.
Can I create an API key myself?
Yes, for website-booking scopes. Go to Settings → Integrations, create a key for the current location, and revoke it anytime. Keys are stored hashed, so if you lose one you create another. Multi-location businesses create a key per location.
Do you support MCP / AI agents?
Yes. Bella is built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP), the same MCP server that powers Bella AI. We enable an MCP connection for your account so assistants like Claude and ChatGPT can work with your business data in natural language. It is managed access, not a one-click public connector.
Which plans include API and MCP access?
Website-booking API keys are available on plans that include Integrations (Professional). MCP access is available on Professional, or by arrangement for larger and multi-location accounts.
How do I get MCP access?
Talk to our team and tell us what you are building. We enable a scoped MCP connection for your account, limited to your business. Self-serve REST keys are not expanded beyond the documented website-booking permissions.
Is my data isolated?
Yes. Every key and MCP connection is scoped per business (and each API key to one location), so an integration only ever reaches your own data, never another business.
