Choosing Software

Best salon software for multiple locations

Salon software for multiple locations bills three ways: per location, per bookable team member, or quote only. Compare three-site costs, GST included.

How salon software for multiple locations bills your second site

One question sorts a shortlist faster than any feature grid: what happens to the invoice when you open site number two. There are three answers in this market.

Per location means a published rate that repeats. Two sites cost twice one site, whatever size each team is. Per team member means the bill follows headcount, so a second site costs whatever its people cost and a quiet third site costs very little. Quote only means you find out on a call. All three can be fair. Only the first two let you work out next year before you speak to anybody.

PlatformHow a second location is billedPublished price?
Bella BookingPer location, at the same Professional rate whatever the count. You add or remove a location yourself in Settings > Billing: adding a site charges the prorated difference straight away, removing one credits your next invoiceYes. A$99 or US$99 per location per month
MangomintPer location. The pricing page reads "$120/mo base + $10 per user", and lists locations at "$120/mo each"Yes. US$120 per location per month, plus US$10 per user
BoulevardPer location, stated on every tier. Essentials caps at 5 professionals per site, so a growing second site can force a tier jump rather than just another lineYes. US$140, US$234 and US$328 per location per month on the summer promotion, against "Normally" US$176, US$293 and US$410
FreshaNot per location. The help centre says the price "is calculated based on the number of bookable team members in your workspace", and each person's fee is billed to whichever location is their primaryYes, but per person. A$29.95 per bookable team member on Team, exclusive of 10% sales tax
TimelyNot per location. Timely's help centre says the plan price "is based directly on the number of active bookable staff you have and the Timely plan you are on"Published on a pricing page that did not render for us on 2 September 2026. Read the current figure yourself before you budget
VagaroThe calculator on the AU pricing page covers one location. Switching it to "Multiple Locations" replaces the price with Contact SalesNot for multiple sites. One location starts at A$45 a month for one bookable calendar
PhorestQuote only. Every plan button says "Request a quote", the form asks for "Number of Locations", and "Multi-Locations Supported" sits in the comparison table on all four salon tiersNo
ZenotiQuote only, and shaped around the estate: "Multi-location pricing is customized based on your footprint and needs. We'll tailor it to your goals."No

Every competitor row above was read from that vendor's own pricing or help-centre page on 2 September 2026, and the Bella Booking rows from the code that runs the billing. Pricing pages move, promotions end, and two of these platforms will not publish a number at all, so open the current page before you commit to anything on the strength of a table.

What three sites and twelve people actually cost

Take a group with three salons and twelve bookable people, four at each site, and run it through the rates each vendor publishes today.

PlatformHow the monthly bill is builtThree sites, twelve bookable people
Bella Booking, ProfessionalPer location. Team members are unlimited on the plan3 x 99 = 297 a month, in A$ (GST included) or US$
MangomintUS$120 per location, plus US$10 per user3 x US$120 plus 12 x US$10 = US$480 a month
Boulevard, PremierUS$234 per location on the current promotion, US$293 normallyUS$702 a month on the promotion, US$879 at the standard rate
Fresha, TeamA$29.95 per bookable team member, with no location fee12 x A$29.95 = A$359.40 a month before 10% sales tax, plus a 20% one-time commission on each new marketplace client (minimum A$8)

Read the currencies carefully. Mangomint and Boulevard publish in US dollars, Fresha publishes an Australian list, and Bella Booking charges 99 in both. The tax treatment differs too: Bella's A$99 includes GST, while Fresha's A$29.95 and Timely's AU list both exclude it. Nothing in this table is a like-for-like currency conversion, and none of it includes card processing.

The pattern that matters is which number your bill is multiplied by. On a per-location platform, hiring three more juniors changes nothing. On a per-person platform, it changes the invoice every month, at every site, and the third site you open with two chairs and a receptionist is cheap. Work out which direction your group is growing in, then pick the model that suits it.

Ask each vendor for the total on your real numbers, in writing, with tax and card fees shown. A per-person platform is often cheaper for a small second site and dearer for a busy one, and the crossover point is the whole decision.

What has to work the day you open the second site

Six things go wrong in the first fortnight if the software was only ever built for one address. Check each one on a live account, not on a feature list.

One login, one switcher

You should sign in once and move between sites from a menu, not keep two accounts and two passwords. Ask what a receptionist sees when they open the app: the site they work at, or a chooser they have to answer every morning. In Bella Booking the switcher only appears for businesses with more than one location, and everything on screen is scoped to the site you picked.

Its own hours, catalogue and prices

A second site in a different suburb charges differently and opens differently. Each location in Bella Booking owns its own trading hours, services, categories, pricing tiers, variants, add-ons and bundles, with a copy tool for setting the second one up from the first. Timely is worth checking here: its help centre says there is no feature for location specific services or prices, and documents a workaround of duplicating the service list and gating each copy with resources.

A different role at each site

The same person is often an admin at one site and a team member at another. In Bella Booking a single invite grants access to each location you tick, with its own role of Admin, Receptionist or Team member, and plan headroom is checked at every site before the invite is sent. If a platform gives one person one global role, ask how you stop a junior seeing another site's takings.

Its own booking page

Clients think in terms of the salon they walk into. Each Bella Booking location gets its own booking page on its own address, with its own branding, About text, opening hours, services and team, and old links keep working when a slug changes. Ask whether a second site means a second page or a second column in the same one, because the answer decides what you put in your Instagram bio.

Its own payments and payouts

Two sites often mean two bank accounts, sometimes two entities. Each Bella Booking location connects its own Stripe or Square account, so takings settle where they belong instead of pooling and being split by hand at the end of the month. If the platform allows only one connected payment account for the whole business, find out before you sign.

A country, currency and timezone each

This matters more than it sounds, and not only across borders. A new Bella Booking location inherits the first site's country, currency and timezone and lets you change all three when you create it, so a group can run sites in different states or different countries. If your software has one currency per account, an expansion plan quietly becomes a migration plan.

Questions to ask before you sign

Take these to a demo. Every one has a short answer, and the ones a salesperson has to go away and check are the interesting ones.

  • What does a second location cost, and is that number published anywhere I can read it without calling you?
  • Can I add a location myself, and is the change prorated, or do I email support and wait?
  • Does a second site push me onto a higher tier, or a different product, or an annual contract?
  • Is the price per location, per bookable team member, or both?
  • Can each site run its own trading hours, service menu and prices without duplicating the catalogue?
  • Can one person hold a different role at each site?
  • Are client records shared across sites, or separate at each one? What actually copies across?
  • Is reporting per site, rolled up, or both? Show me the roll-up on a live account.
  • Can each site take payments into its own bank account?
  • What happens to SMS and email allowances when I add a site?

The client-records question is the one most often answered with a yes that turns out to be partial. Ask what specifically travels between sites: the profile and contact details, or the appointment history, saved cards, loyalty points and account credit as well. Those are very different products and vendors describe both as shared.

How Bella Booking handles a second location

Multiple locations sit on the standard Professional plan at A$99 or US$99 per location per month, the same rate whether you run two sites or ten. There is no separate multi-location product, no enterprise contract and no sales call: you open Settings > Billing, use the plus and minus control under "Locations on your plan", and adding a site charges the prorated difference straight away while removing one credits your next invoice. Until August 2026 a second site meant being moved onto a separate Multi-Location plan by email. It now runs on Professional, which also carries unlimited team members, so the bill follows sites rather than headcount.

  1. 1Professional is the plan that carries multiple locations, and the entitlement is checked on the server every time a location is created
  2. 2You cannot bill for fewer locations than you have open: archive a site first, then reduce the count
  3. 3The SMS allowance scales with the number of billed locations, 500 a month each on Professional, drawn from one pool across the business
  4. 4Groups can talk to us about volume pricing, custom requirements and larger numbers of locations. No automatic discount is applied anywhere in the billing, so budget on the per-location rate

Inside the product, each location is genuinely its own environment: country, currency, timezone, trading hours, service catalogue and prices, team roster, booking page, payment connection and payouts, booking policies and automated messages. One login covers all of them, with a switcher in the sidebar for businesses that have more than one. A team member can be invited into several sites at once and hold a different role at each.

Three limits worth knowing before you buy. Reports run one location at a time, so there is no consolidated cross-location dashboard; the closest thing is the location list in Settings > Business settings, where each site shows a live strip of revenue and appointments over the last 30 days, plus clients, team, reviews and memberships. Client records are held per location, with a tool that copies a client's profile, contact details, tags and family links to another site while appointment history, payments, saved cards, loyalty points and account credit stay where they were. And each location has its own booking page rather than one page that lists every site for a client to choose from.

For running the sites you already have, read "How to manage a multi-location salon business" below. For the capability detail, open the Multi-location feature page linked below, and for groups, franchises and white-label work, the Enterprise page in the site menu.
