Booker is the spa and salon software from Mindbody. Its own spa page lists genuine strengths:

Add-ons offered at booking and again at checkout
Professional product used in each service deducted from stock automatically

Messenger[ai], a chatbot that answers client questions and missed calls, as an add-on on its Accelerate and Ultimate plans

What Booker's plans include

Booker's pricing page, read on 1 November 2026, shows "Starting at $139." and a Let's talk button on each of its three plans, so a sales conversation sets what you pay.

Every plan includes the Mindbody app listing. Mindbody's own pricing page says the app charges a fee when it brings a client who is new to your business: 20%, capped at US$30, on that client's first purchase. Ask Booker whether the same applies to your account before you count on the listing.

What a spa booking system needs to handle

Whatever you move to, check these on your own menu during the free trial, with your longest treatment and your busiest Saturday in mind.

Rooms and equipment

A booking should take the room as well as the therapist, so two clients never land in one room. In Bella Booking, rooms and equipment are resources a service can require, on every plan, with the scheduler showing each one.

Treatment timing

Masks set, wraps develop and rooms need turning over. Bella lets a service carry processing time, when the therapist is free while the treatment works, and buffers before and after for setup and clean-up.

Couples and groups

A couples treatment is two clients, two therapists and one room at the same start. Bella's group bookings give each guest their own team member, can be set as couples only, and a shared-space service can hold a room for a party or a private hire.

Packages, memberships and gift cards

Spa revenue arrives in advance. On the Professional plan, Bella sells prepaid packages, memberships with recurring billing and gift cards, online and at the counter.

Deposits and cancellation fees

A 90-minute treatment is a big gap to lose. Bella takes deposits at booking and applies your cancellation policy on every plan, with service-level rules for your longest treatments.

Commission and pay

If you pay therapists on commission, check whether the software calculates it. Booker does. Bella's Team member sales report (Professional) gives each team member's sales after discounts and refunds, and the commission itself is worked out outside Bella.

Price your own team before you decide. A per-user price grows with every therapist you hire, a per-location price grows with every site, and a quote depends on the conversation.

Making the switch from Booker

Most of a move is data you already have. Do these before you cancel:

1List every package, membership and gift card a client still holds, with the balance and expiry. Bella's team imports gift cards with their remaining balances, and each part-used package comes across as an existing package.
2Export your client list and your future appointments, or ask Booker support for them.
3Write down your treatment menu with durations, rooms and prices. A link to your booking page or a screenshot is enough.
4Change the Book Now links on your website, Google profile and social pages on the day you switch.
5Send everything to Bella's team. Onboarding is free on every plan, and data migration is free on Starter and Professional.
