How to Share Your Salon Booking Link Everywhere That Matters

Get your booking link in front of clients on Google, social media, your website, and in your salon

8 min read

Enabling online booking is only half the equation. If clients can't find your booking link, they can't use it. The difference between a salon that gets 10% of bookings online and one that gets 60% often comes down to how visible and accessible the booking link is.

This guide covers every channel where your booking link should appear — from high-impact digital channels like Google and Instagram to physical touchpoints like QR codes at your reception desk.

Why sharing your booking link matters

Online booking captures appointments that phone calls miss. Clients searching for your salon at 9pm, scrolling Instagram during lunch, or walking past your window all need a way to book right then. If the booking link isn't visible at that moment, the impulse passes.

The goal is simple: every place a client might think "I should book an appointment" should have your booking link within reach.

Google Business Profile

This is arguably the highest-impact place for your booking link. When someone searches for your salon on Google or browses Google Maps, a booking link in your Google Business Profile puts a "Book" button right in the search results.

How to add it

  1. 1Go to business.google.com and sign in with your Google account
  2. 2Select your business listing
  3. 3Click Edit Profile → Contact
  4. 4Paste your Bella Booking URL into the Appointment URL field
  5. 5Click Save

Changes typically appear in Google Search and Maps within a few hours. If you manage multiple locations, repeat this for each Google Business Profile listing using the location-specific booking URL.

This is not the same as Reserve with Google (which requires a deeper integration). You're simply adding a link that opens your booking page — it works immediately and with any booking system.

Your website

If you have a website, a "Book Now" button should be one of the most prominent elements — ideally in the navigation bar or above the fold on the homepage.

HTML button

Bella Booking's Share page provides a ready-to-use HTML snippet for a styled "Book Now" button. Copy it and paste it into your website's HTML. Most website builders (Squarespace, Wix, WordPress) support custom HTML blocks.

Where to place it

  • Homepage — visible without scrolling
  • Services page — next to each service description
  • Contact page — alongside phone and email
  • Navigation bar — a persistent button on every page

Instagram

Your Instagram bio is the single most important spot for booking link visibility on social media. Followers who discover your work through posts or reels will go to your bio to book.

Bio link

Go to Profile → Edit Profile → Website and paste your booking URL. If you use a link-in-bio service (like Linktree), make your booking link the first/top option.

Stories

Use the Link sticker in Instagram Stories to add direct booking links. This works well when showcasing your work ("Love this look? Book yours now"), promoting available slots, or running promotions.

For posts and reels, direct people to your bio link: "Book through the link in our bio." Instagram doesn't support clickable links in post captions.

Facebook

Facebook business pages support a "Book Now" action button that appears prominently below your cover photo.

  1. 1Go to your Facebook Business Page
  2. 2Click Edit (or the three dots menu)
  3. 3Select Action Button → Book Now
  4. 4Choose "Link to website" and paste your booking URL
  5. 5Save

Unlike Instagram, Facebook supports clickable links in post text. Include your booking URL when posting about availability, promotions, or new services.

QR code for your salon

A QR code bridges the gap between your physical salon and online booking. Clients scan with their phone camera and go straight to your booking page.

Where to display it

  • Reception desk or front counter — "Book your next visit" card
  • Window signage — catches walk-by traffic
  • Business cards — a QR code is easier to use than typing a URL
  • Price lists and menus — "Scan to book this service"
  • Flyers and promotional materials

In Bella Booking, the Share page generates a QR code automatically and lets you download a high-resolution PNG with your business name included — ready for print.

Print QR codes at least 3cm × 3cm for reliable scanning. Test the printed code with your phone before displaying it.

Email and text messages

Email signature

Add "Book online: [your booking URL]" to your email signature. Every email you send — confirmations, follow-ups, replies — becomes a passive reminder that clients can book online.

Text messages

When texting clients (follow-ups, reminders, promotions), include your booking link. A simple "Book your next visit: [URL]" at the end of a message makes rebooking frictionless.

Print materials

Physical materials are still relevant in the beauty industry. Include your booking URL or QR code on:

  • Business cards
  • Appointment reminder cards
  • Price lists and service menus
  • Loyalty cards
  • Window decals and A-frame signs
  • Flyers and brochures

For print, a QR code is almost always more practical than a full URL. It takes less space and clients don't need to type anything.

Key takeaways

  • Add your booking link to Google Business Profile — it's one of the highest-impact actions you can take
  • Put a "Book Now" button on your website homepage, visible without scrolling
  • Add your booking URL to your Instagram bio and Facebook page action button
  • Use a QR code at your reception desk so clients can book their next visit before leaving
  • Include your booking link in your email signature for passive promotion
  • The more places your booking link appears, the more online bookings you'll receive
