How to share your salon booking link on Google, social media, and your website
Share your online booking link by adding it to your Google Business Profile, Instagram bio, Facebook page, website, email signature, and in-salon QR code. The more places clients can find your booking link, the more online bookings you'll receive.
Where to share your booking link
Your booking link should be visible everywhere clients might look for it. Here are the most important places, roughly in order of impact:
- 1Google Business Profile — Many clients find salons through Google Search. Adding your booking URL to the Appointment URL field puts a "Book" button directly in your Google listing.
- 2Your website — A prominent "Book Now" button on your homepage and services page.
- 3Instagram bio — The first place followers look for a way to book.
- 4Facebook page — Add a "Book Now" action button that links to your booking page.
- 5Email signature — Every email becomes a subtle reminder that clients can book online.
- 6In-salon — A QR code at reception lets clients book their next visit before they leave.
Google Business Profile
Google Business Profile (formerly Google My Business) is one of the highest-impact places for your booking link. When someone searches for your salon name or "salons near me", your booking link appears right in the search results.
- 1Go to business.google.com and sign in
- 2Select your business
- 3Click Edit Profile → Contact
- 4Paste your booking URL into the Appointment URL field
- 5Save — changes appear within a few hours
This is different from Reserve with Google. You're simply adding a link that opens your booking page — it works with any booking system and doesn't require special integration.
Your website
If you have a website, a "Book Now" button should be one of the most visible elements — ideally in the header or above the fold on your homepage. Most booking software provides an HTML snippet you can copy and paste.
At minimum, add a text link to your booking page on your homepage, services page, and contact page. If your website platform supports it, use a styled button for better visibility.
Add your booking link to your Instagram bio (Profile → Edit Profile → Website). This is the single most important spot for Instagram bookings — followers will look here when they want to book.
For Stories, use the Link sticker to add a direct booking link. Mention it regularly when showcasing your work or promoting available appointments.
Facebook business pages support a prominent "Book Now" action button. Set it up via Your Page → Edit → Action Button → Book Now → Link to website → paste your URL.
Unlike Instagram, Facebook supports clickable links in post text. Include your booking link when posting about availability or promotions.
Physical salon
Don't overlook your physical space. In-salon touchpoints catch clients at the moment they're most likely to rebook:
- QR code at the reception desk — clients scan to book their next visit
- Window signage — "Book online 24/7" with a QR code catches passing foot traffic
- Business cards — include a QR code or short URL
- Price lists and menus — add a "Book this service" QR code
Most booking software lets you download a QR code for your booking page. Print it at a reasonable size (at least 3cm × 3cm) so it scans reliably.
Email signature and text messages
Add "Book online: [your URL]" to your email signature. It's passive marketing that costs nothing — every email you send reminds the recipient they can book online.
When texting clients (appointment reminders, follow-ups), include your booking link so they can easily book their next visit.
