How to switch from Jane App
Step-by-step guide to export your data and move to Bella Booking. We offer free data migration and 1-on-1 onboarding with every plan.

Export your patients
Settings → Import/Export → Export Patients. Exports CSV with contact details, insurance info, and demographics. Chart notes are exported separately.

Export your appointments
Settings → Import/Export → Export Appointments. Select a date range. Includes practitioner, service, date, time, status, and notes.

Note your service types and pricing
Settings → Disciplines & Treatments. Screenshot or list your treatment types, durations, and prices for each discipline.

Export financial records (optional)
Settings → Import/Export → Export Invoices. Useful for financial records but not required for migration.

Send the CSVs plus your service list. We validate, dedupe, and import everything within one business day, then walk you through your new system.
A note on appointment history
We generally recommend not importing old appointment history. Importing past appointments can trigger unintended automated messages (reminders, follow-ups) and cause data inconsistencies. Your clients and services are the essential data for a clean start. If you do want some history carried over, we recommend a tight recent range (e.g. the last 3 months) — our migration team will ensure no notifications are sent accidentally.
Good to know
Clinical chart notes and SOAP documentation cannot be migrated to Bella as we do not have clinical charting features. If you need historical clinical records, export them from Jane for your archive. Insurance billing history stays with your insurance provider.

Will I lose my client data?
No. Export your client list from Jane App (we provide step-by-step instructions), then our team will import it into Bella Booking for you. Free data migration is included with every plan.
How long does the switch take?
Most salons are up and running within 1-2 hours. We handle the data import and walk you through setup in a 1-on-1 onboarding session.
Do I need to cancel my Jane App subscription first?
We recommend running both systems in parallel for a few days to ensure a smooth transition. Cancel your Jane App subscription once you're confident everything is working.
Is there a contract or lock-in?
No. Bella Booking is month-to-month with no lock-in contracts. You can cancel anytime.
